We are proud of our staff member Gem for her work as a Glaucoma Australia Volunteer Clinical Educator, raising awareness of this important condition that affects many Australians. Glaucoma Australia informs us that 1 in 50 Australians will develop glaucoma in their lifetime, that 50% of people with glaucoma do not know they have it, and vision loss from glaucoma is irreversible.
